The third and last event organized as part of the EMOUNDRGROUNDS project was aimed at Šibenik youth who can enjoy the all-day programme on Saturday, October 8th at the House of Art Arsen. The goal of the programme is to bring children and young people closer to the ways in which literary works are interpreted through different media.
TIMETABLE
The program starts at 11 AM with the kids play Zika Zika Muzikaaa! performed independently by music pedagogue Lucija Stanojević. After the performance, she will introduce the young audience to the world of instrument-making. At Mr. Šumofon's Workshop new musical instruments will be created from recycled materials. This part of the program is suitable for ages 4 to 9, but everyone is welcome.
In the afternoon, the program continues with the movie screening. Mystery of a Green Hill is based on the novel of the same name by Ivan Kušan. The film will be presented to the audience by film critic and educator Nino Kovačić from 6:30 pPM, who will discuss the film with the audience after the screening.

THE IMPORTANCE OF EVENT
After the successfully held Šibenik Heritage Showcase in September last year, when the heritage of the Šibenik region was presented to a wider audience and history buffs at the Barone Fortress, now a time has come to turn to the youngest audience as well. This programme was designed to bring the concept of literature closer to children and young people and to teach them the fact that it is not reserved only for the concept of printed books. By bringing literary characters to life through a play and a film, the programme tries to encourage young people to read and create new ways of interpreting literary works.
ABOUT PROJECT
EMOUNDERGROUNDS project (EMOtional technologies for the cultural heritage valorization within the UNDERGROUNDS cross border) implementation is co-financed from the Interreg ADRION transnational cooperation program, in the amount of 85% of the value. Total project value is is 2,599,994.86 euros; the budget of the Fortress of Culture amounts to slightly less than 2 million kuna (264,387.78 euros), and the most significant investment within the project relates to the implementation of VR technology for the purpose of storytelling at Šibenik fortresses.
