After Parni Valjak and Papandopulo Quartet, this Sunday, September 27th, starting at 8 pm, St. Michael's Fortress will convert into the streets of Paris as part of another Side B programme - French chanson evening!
The French chanson evening is organized by Prokultura from Split and it is traditionally held for 21 years in a row. The best names from the Chanson friends club will be presented on Sunday: Ana Opačak, Kristina Nuić-Prka, Ema Kuzmanić and Tajana Pavičević accompaniment by maestro Jurica Karuza on the piano. As a special guest of the evening will perform our famous singer, Mr. Ibrica Jusić!
'' The evening of French chanson closes this year's Side B programmme which takes place underneath the auditorium of St. Michael's Fortress. We are very pleased to have the opportunity to enjoy the performance of Dubrovnik's famous troubadour, a chansonnier who began his prestigious career in 1965 on the stairs of his native Dubrovnik, Ibrica Jusić and one of Croatia's most beautiful voice, Ana Opačak who became known to the general public after the semifinals of the music show ''The Voice''. Together with the other members of the Chanson friends club they will perform some of the most famous French songs recognizable by the power of its lyrics, music and interpretation '' - announced Gorana Barišić Bačelić, head of the department for management of fortification system facilities at the Šibenik City Museum.
In order to fully deliver a French evening underneath Šibenik's auditorium a photography exhibition is organized, '' Paris through the eyes of Ivo Pervan''. The master of photography Ivo Pervan marked in his photos a period, the cultural and natural heritage of his homeland and exhibited in almost all of the world's capitals. In his work Pervan is specifically focused on the promotion of Croatian tourism, and this exhibition is an exciting photographic document created during the jointly visit to Paris with the Chanson Friends in 2007, where the beauty of the recorded reveals cultural and historical dimension of Paris and uniqueness of his everyday life
Ivo Pervan has received numerous international and national awards, including the two RED DOT awards, gold in New York, three out of ten most beautiful photomonography in the world, placing him at the top of the world's photography.
The French chanson evening is organized as part of the Rendez-vous manifestation, a festival of France in Croatia, www.rendez-vous.hr.
The ticket price for the French chanson evening on St. Michael's Fortress is 35 HRK, while all of the visitors who purchase their Sunday daily ticket, as well as the members of the Fortress friends club have free admission after presenting their membership card.
