Join us on April 29th and 30th, 2022, at the unique manifestation Night of Fortresses which is organized within the project FORTITUDE!
It is an event that will take place once a year at historical sites throughout the region, and will include concerts, workshops, exhibitions and guided tours.
This year's Night of Fortresses will be held on St. Michael's Fortress and Barone Fortress, as well on the locations of other project partners: the City of Karlovac, the Municipality of Bar and the City of Banja Luka. All historical sites that want to be a part of this event can still join them through the application form.
The organization of joint cultural events is one of the goals of the project which will contribute to the improvement and diversification of the tourist offer of historic foritfied sites as a way to raise the tourist attractiveness of historic locations and attract visitors outside the tourist season.

The project FORTITUDE (Historic Fortresses Intensyfing Cross-Border Tourism Development) began on March 1st, 2020 and will continue until June 30th, 2022. The project lead partner is the Public Institution Fortress of Culture Šibenik with partners City of Karlovac, Municipality of Bar and City of Banja Luka. The total value is 1,618,438.72 EUR, of which 85% is co-financed by Interreg IPA CBC Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro 2014 – 2020.
