This year, the obvious answer to the question "Where to spend New Year's?" will once again be Šibenik, a city known for attracting big international names year after year. Leading the celebration in the square in front of the UNESCO-listed St. James Cathedral will be the Italian musician Mario Biondi.
Born in Catania, Biondi began his career as a backing vocalist but quickly rose to fame as a solo artist, thanks to his unique voice that blends influences of soul, jazz, and funk. His album Handful of Soul launched him onto the global stage, and he has since collaborated with numerous renowned artists. His concerts are known for their warm, intimate atmosphere as well as the incredible energy he brings, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
Mario Biondi already won over the Šibenik crowd with his 2018 performance at St. Michael’s Fortress. With his fusion of jazz, soul, and pop, he is beloved by audiences worldwide, and Šibenik will once again have the chance to experience his energy on the most special night of the year.
