This passionate Italian with a sensual voice is coming to St. Michael’s Fortress on August 2nd, performing his famous hits and presenting songs from the awaited album Brasil. The powerful record with elements of soul, jazz, pop and bossa nova has flourished from his collaboration with the renowned Brazilian musicians and international artists. The album will be released next week what makes the audience at the unique ambience of St. Michael’s Fortress - one of the first to enjoy the live singles, alongside the best–known hits of this charismatic artist.

The concert on the most beautiful stage on the Adriatic will be Biondi’s third performance in Croatia. It is highly anticipated, considering the positive comments and experiences from the past concerts coming from the audience as well the critics. Italian Barry White – as Biondi is often called because of his deep and warm voice, thrills the audience with his spontaneity and talent for entertaining every time. His supreme performance is a result of his music genes and the fact he started his career as supporting artists of international standing, including the legendary Ray Charles.
The turning point of his career was the release of This is What You Are single, which launched him onto international music scene. Biondi’s first album Handful of Soul won over the audience as well as the critic and earned him four platinum records in just a few months. In the following years his career thrived effortlessly, so Mario showed his other talents by synchronizing animated Disney films for the Italian market. The success of the studio albums If – with the single Something That Was Beautiful, and Due (The Unexpected Glimpses) – internationally recognized hit album of duets, was followed by an Italian and international tour through prestigious European jazz festivals.
After the successful tour, Biondi went back to the studio and collaborated with Bluey from Incognito on the new album Sun, filled with funk rhythm. Album’s promo single Shine On became a favourite song of blues and jazz lovers, while the song What Have You Done to Me was the album’s highlight. Beyond, Biondi’s album from 2014 has acknowledged him as one of the greatest male vocals of the international jazz and soul scene.
Current album Brasil is filled with summer beats and Biondi’s charm and specific voice, it sounds as it was made for St. Michael’s Fortress performance.

Following the performance of Mario Biondi on August 2nd at St. Michael's Fortress the audience will enjoy dancing beats of Alex Barck's music. Barck is one of the founders of Jazzanova DJ collective from Berlin, legendary six-member group that has created and popularized new genre in music – nu jazz. The unusual combination of music genres, from soul and pop to witty dance music makes this eclectic group of artists unique on the world's DJ scene.
As a member of Jazzanova collective in the late 90's, Alex Barck had risen to worldwide fame, and is today one of the managers of famous label Sonar Kollektive, which has released one of the finest Jazzanova's work. Acclaimed remixes for a diverse range of artists, countless music collaborations and over 500 released compilations have marked an era of electronic music.
At the most beautiful stage on Adriatic, Alex Barck will be doing what he loves the most – playing his music and sharing his love for it. The audience has enjoyed his music at St. Michael's Fortress in 2015, when his performance was a part of Deboto Festival. The audience in Šibenik well remembers that performance and is eager to hear what is Alex preparing for this summer's set!
