On Saturday October 8, a full-day program for children and youngsters will be held in House of Arts Arsen as part of the EMOUNDERGROUNDS project implemented by the Fortress of Culture Šibenik. Kid's Day will begin with a play and workshop in the morning and continue with an afternoon film screening for schoolars and young people. The programme aims to bring children and young people closer to the ways in which literary works are interpreted through different media.
PERFORMANCE AND WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN
The first on the schedule is the play Zika Zika Muzikaaa! which will be performed from 11 AM by violinist and music pedagogue Lucija Stanojević, also the author of the picture book Ritam Zvukolik on which the play was based. Using simple and fun puzzles, rhymes and counting, and the help of imagination, Lucija introduces children to the world of music and art in such a way that, with the encouragement of the performer, the children create it themselves and build on it with their educators, friends and family.
After the performance, the Mr. Šumofon's Workshop workshop will be held. Kids will engage in creating instruments with materials that are normally considered waste. That way they are introduced the world of joint music making, but also learning important messages about the importance of preserving the environment. The show and workshop are adapted for ages 4 to 9, but everyone is welcome!
MOVIE ADVENTURE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
From 6:30 PM the programme continues with the screening of the film The Mistery of Green Hill (Uzbuna na Zelenom Vrhu), which follows the adventures of popular Croatian book character Ratko Milić, better known by the nickname Koko. With a few introductory words film educator Nino Kovačić will present the mmovie adaptation of Ivan Kušan's novel of the same name, the first in a series of anthology books.

The entrance to the programme is free and those who can't be onsite can follow the event live on social networks of the project and at House of Arts Arsen Facebook page.
The event is held as a part of EMOUNDERGROUNDS project (EMOtional technologies for the cultural heritage valorization within the UNDERGROUNDS cross border) whose implementation is co-financed from the Interreg ADRION transnational cooperation program, in the amount of 85% of the value. Total project value is is 2,599,994.86 euros; the budget of the Fortress of Culture amounts to slightly less than 2 million kuna (264,387.78 euros), and the most significant investment within the project relates to the implementation of VR technology for the purpose of storytelling at Šibenik fortresses.
