The award-winning American musician Gregory Porter returns to St. Michael's Fortress in Šibenik! An exceptional artist who sells out halls all over the world and winner of two Grammys in the past decade has won over the audience with contemporary jazz and we will be listening to him live in Šibenik on July 22nd.
- Porter's unique voice and a special blend of blues, jazz, and gospel left the audience breathless at St. Michael's Fortress in the summer of 2017. It was a performance we still remember vividly, and we eagerly anticipate the return of this fantastic musician to Šibenik - emphasize the organizers from the Fortress of Culture, which manages one of the most beautiful concert locations in Croatia.
Gregory Porter comes from a musical family and began singing in church, where his mother was a pastor, and his father was a singer. After an injury prevented him from pursuing a sports career, he turned to music and moved to New York to build his career. He released his debut album 'Water' in 2010, and his popularity skyrocketed with the third album 'Liquid Spirit,' which became a phenomenon with over a million copies sold, earning him his first Grammy. His 2020 album 'All Rise' was also nominated for a Grammy.
In 2021, Porter released the compilation 'Still Rising' with five completely new songs and the greatest hits in new arrangements, featuring duets with Paloma Faith, Moby, Jamie Cullum, Jeff Goldblum, Ella Fitzgerald, and others. This year, he released a Christmas album titled 'Christmas Wish,' featuring a selection of traditional classics and three original songs.
In addition to his impressive music career, Porter is the creator and host of the podcast 'The Hang,' a series of conversations with his famous friends, as well as his own culinary show 'The Porter House.'

The initial set of tickets is priced at 80€. Subsequently, the price will increase to 95€.
Tickets are available from December 13th 2023 online via Eventim, exclusively for Mastercard® cardholders for the first 24-hour. After that the tickets will be available to the general public from Thursday, December 14th at noon via the Eventim and at House of Arts Arsen box office (Šibenik).
The same applies to tickets for the recently announced Trentemøller concert at St. Michael's Fortress.
- The Danish producer Trentemøller is coming with the band on August 14th, and those are just the first two names of upcoming concert season. We have every reason to look forward to the summer and the performances announced so far - said the organizers from Fortress of Culture Šibenik who were recently awarded the Ambassador Award for the Bonobo concert, recognized as the event of the year 2023.
