This Saturday more than 300 visitors enjoyed the kids day powered by EMOUNDERGROUNDS in House of Arts Arsen Šibenik! Event was organized as part of the EMOUNDERGROUNDS project, which the Fortress of Culture is implementing with 9 partners from 7 European countries. For those who couldn't be onsite, the event was livestreamed so everyone could take a look and enjoy the programme!
The day started with the kids play Zika Zika Muzikaaa! by music pedagogue Lucija Stanojević who based the play on her own book. She later presented the book to the kids, not only by storytelling but also trough a workshop which unlocked the kids imagination. In the afternoon the youngsters enjoyed movie screening of Mystery of a Green Hill, film based on the novel of the same name written by Ivan Kušan, renown Croatian author of kids books.
By bringing literary characters to life through a play and a film, the programme encouraged young people to read more and start exploring new ways of interpreting literary works.
As the kids said yes to the books, Fortress of Culture said farewell to the third and final EMOUNDERGROUNDS event organized in Šibenik, after successfully held Šibenik Heritage Showcase in September last year and music event in June.
