Fortress of Culture Šibenik has been recognized as a model of good practice within the URBACT programme and has recieved the URBACT Good Practice label.
URBACT’s mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges, by networking, learning from one another’s experiences, drawing lessons and identifying good practices to improve urban policies.
On October 29, 2024, the URBACT Monitoring Committee selected 116 exemplary projects from 249 applications across Europe, and we’re honored to be among the chosen.
This recognition celebrates our team’s dedication to promoting cultural programs that are not only integrated and sustainable but also easy to adopt in other European cities. Over the next year, our work will be featured on URBACT’s channels and showcased at the 2025 URBACT City Festival, taking place from April 8 to 10 in Wrocław, Poland. This festival will be an inspiring opportunity for other cities to learn from our model and explore new project collaborations.
This acknowledgment reinforces the role of Fortress of Culture Šibenik as a cultural leader in the region, giving us the chance to continue developing programs that enrich the lives of our community and visitors alike.
