Last Friday the audience in Trieste found out why Šibenik's fortresses are considered an example of good practice in the revitalization of cultural heritage at the European level!
At the invitation of the Croatian community in Trieste, Morana Periša, Head of Programme and production department at Fortress of Culture, presented the locations of the St. Michael, Barone and St. John's Fortress and the EU projects through which they were renovated. The reuse of these centuries-old stone guardians of heritage for museum and cultural purposes that breathed new life into them was also discussed. Periša preseneted multimedia content available to fortress visitors, alongside the various programmes that take place at the fortresses.
The presentation of the fortresses was followed by a musical programme: young but already internationally established Croatian pianist, composer and arranger Viktor Čižić performed a piano recital in front of the gathered audence.
