Dunja Knebl, Nina Romić, and Jelena Galić at Barone Jazz Festival
On August 30th, leading Croatian ethno artist Dunja Knebl, singer-songwriter Nina Romić, and multi-instrumentalist Jelena Galić will take the stage at Barone Fortress in Šibenik as part of their musical project Dunije.
The Barone Jazz Festival audience can expect a powerful and emotional musical experience rooted in traditional Croatian folk music, featuring songs from their acclaimed 2024 album Bilo je sada. Three voices, three musicians, and 14 old Croatian songs exploring women's destinies — some dating back centuries, yet still resonating with relevance and strength today.
The Dunije concert, scheduled for August 30th at 9 PM, offers a blend of tradition and modernity, gentleness and strength, serving as a reminder of the universality of human experience that transcends time.
