On Wednesday, October 27th, the ministress of regional development and European union funds, Nataša Tramišak, handed over the contracts for co-financing the implementation of EU projects on regional and local level for the area of Šibenik-Knin county, on Barone Fortress.
Contracts were delivered, except to the Fortress of Culture director Gorana Barišić Bačelić, also to the mayor of Šibenik Željko Burić, to the director of Public Institution Nature of Šibenik-Knin county Anita Babačić Ajduk, and to the director of company Bikarac LLC.,Robert Podrug.
The contract of Fortress of Culture refers to co-financing of the project FORTITUDE - Historic Fortresses Intensifying Cross-Border Tourism Development in the amount of 435.132,39 kn.
Project FORTITUDE (Historic Fortresses Intensyfing Cross-Border Tourism Development) started on March 1st 2020 and it will last until February 28th 2022. The coordinator of the project is Public Institution Fortress of Culture Šibenik with partners City of Karlovac, Municipality of Herceg Novi, Municipality of Bar and City of Banja Luka, and the total value is 1 618 438.72 euros, from which 85% is co-financed from the program Interreg IPA CBC Croatia- Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014 - 2020. The main goal of the project is to strengthen and diversify the cultural-tourist offer in the cross-border area as well as to develop the highest quality and most sustainable management of cultural assets.
