Zoran Majstorović Kvartet

August at the Barone Jazz Festival opens with top Croatian jazz and ethno guitarist Zoran Majstorović, who will perform in Šibenik with his quartet.

Zoran Majstorović is a jazz and ethno guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and producer. In 25 years of public musical activity, he has participated in recording many albums and compilations in various musical genres, published transcription books, and played at numerous jazz and ethno festivals worldwide. Besides performing with many Croatian musicians, he has had the opportunity to record and perform with world-renowned jazz and ethno musicians.

His field of activity is not limited to jazz and ethno music; he also engages in other aspects of sound and music such as "sound art," projects focused on perceiving sound as material in art, and "site-specific" concerts. He has received multiple awards for his work and is a regular member of the Croatian Composers' Society and the Croatian Freelance Artists' Association.

At the Barone Fortress, Zoran Majstorović will perform with Robert Mikuljan on trumpet, Karlo Lovrić on organ, and Sandro Legan on drums.

These musicians, with impressive international careers, use their specific instruments to take listeners on a journey through world music, creating sonorities that evoke musical traditions from various parts of the world. These excellent improvisers bring their personal musical heritage into the music, ranging from classical to traditional music, from jazz to rock.

They will present their music to the audience in Šibenik on Monday, August 5th, starting at 9 PM at the Barone Jazz Festival!
