SU-TON Quartet

The Barone Jazz Festival continues in September with top-notch performances! On Saturday, September 7, the stage with the most beautiful view in the city will feature the SU-TON Quartet.

The ensemble was formed on the initiative and idea of Tin Džaferović, a young double bassist and composer from Slavonski Brod, currently based in Vienna. Collaborating with trumpet player Nikola Vuković from Belgrade, who also lives in Vienna, Tin connected with Zagreb musicians Luka Čapeta on electric guitar and Borko Rupena on drums/percussion.

The quartet's sound and approach to improvisation are based on the tradition of European jazz and contemporary sacred music. The sensitivity of these musicians creates an ideal combination of expressive and unpretentious sound explorers who skillfully navigate through different dynamic contrasts, creating equally exciting atmospheres of various emotional and experiential states in the moment. Interaction, listening, trust, and skill on their instruments enable the quartet members to take unlimited paths in their musical journey.

The audience in Šibenik will have the opportunity to experience their live performance on September 7 at 9 PM at the Barone Fortress.
