Robert Mikuljan Quintet
Istrian trumpeter and composer Robert Mikuljan will conclude July at Barone Fortress.
Mikuljan has been actively involved in music for over 20 years, dedicating himself exclusively to jazz since 2011. In 2008, he joined the Big Band Pula, became a member of the JazzIstra orchestra in 2014, and that same year began a long-term collaboration with the HRT Jazz Orchestra on concerts and studio recordings. As a composer and soloist, he presented himself in 2017 as part of the "New Compositions for the HRT Jazz Orchestra" project with the composition "Crne ruki." He collaborates with many renowned Croatian and international jazz musicians in various projects and solo concerts. He was awarded the Status Award in 2019 in the jazz trumpet category. He is a member of the Porto Etno Orchestra and the conductor and leader of the Labin City Orchestra. He regularly performs with renowned Croatian and international jazz musicians. He leads the Robert Mikuljan Quintet, which brings together some of the best musicians on the Croatian jazz scene.
In addition to Robert on trumpet and flugelhorn, the quintet consists of Denis Razumović Razz on saxophone, Aldo Foško on keyboards, Bojan Skočilić on double bass, and Marco Quarantotto on drums. The Robert Mikuljan Quintet will perform at Barone Fortress on July 30th at 9 PM.
