Marius Preda Evolution Trio

Marius Preda, one of the world's greatest cimbalom players and multi-instrumentalists, a member of the legendary Arturo Sandoval sextet, is touring this year with a new project in trio formation in collaboration with the award-winning guitarist and composer Ratko Zjača, who has an extensive international discography!

Marius Preda was born in Bucharest into a family of musicians. He is a multiple Grammy Award winner and has shared the stage with many renowned artists such as Arturo Sandoval, Gheorghe Zamfir, Vladimir Cosma, and Didier Lockwood. He is considered one of the most original and prolific musicians in recent music history. Due to his unique and charismatic playing, Preda became the first cimbalom player in history to perform in some of the world's most prestigious concert halls, festivals, and jazz clubs. His latest album is titled "Mission Cimbalom," reflecting his lifelong ambition to introduce the world to the cimbalom and solidify its place in the world of jazz.

On the stage at Barone Fortress, Marius Preda will perform on Friday, July 19th, with Ratko Zjača, a guitarist and composer, one of the most important Croatian representatives on the world jazz scene, and his son Eduard Preda on keyboards!
