Black Coffee ft. Ana Uršula Najev

One of Croatia's most respected and long-standing music bands, Black Coffee, will perform on August 29th at the Barone Fortress. They will be joined on stage by actress and singer Ana Uršula Najev.

Black Coffee began their rich musical career in 1993 as a jazz band from Split. Over their 30 years of existence, they have changed locations, musical collaborators, and excellent vocalists while effortlessly transitioning through various musical genres. However, their quality and love for music have remained constant.

The longevity of their existence, which is rare even on the global scene, lies in their unparalleled quality and perpetual pursuit of performance perfection, as well as their love for jazz, blues, funk, soul, and more.

In their illustrious musical career, they have performed countless concerts both in Croatia and abroad and have collaborated with numerous renowned Croatian and international musicians such as Boško Petrović, Matija Dedić, Zdenka Kovačiček, Gibonni, Oliver Dragojević, Georgie Fame, Catia Werneck, Tammy McCann, and Nelson Latif.

The top-notch musicians of Black Coffee will be joined at Barone Fortress by the talented Ana Uršula Najev, whose vocal interpretations will further enrich their unique performance. Those who have had the opportunity to hear them live agree that Ana Uršula Najev has written new chapters in the story of the Black Coffee trio with her vocals.

Although primarily an actress, Ana Uršula Najev is increasingly seen by audiences in a singing role. She has already performed with outstanding orchestral musicians and held solo concerts with her band.

"Every performance with Black Coffee is inspiring for me. Sharing the stage with them is pure joy. I met this great team in the spring of 2016 when we performed with Matija Dedić at the Croatian National Theatre in Split at a concert dedicated to Arsen, who had recently passed away. Our first collaboration happened last summer. It felt like we had been playing together for the hundredth time," says Najev about the collaboration.

They will perform together at Barone Fortress on Thursday, August 29th at 9 PM.

TICKETS: Regular price 6€

The concert starts at 9 PM, and tickets priced at 6€ are available online via the Fortress of Culture website and at City Point.
