Šibenik Dance Festival: Lace

Šibenik Dance Festival 2020 was opened with a ballet entitled Lace, performed by the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc Rijeka.

This unique performance was held under the starry sky of St. Michael's Fortress. The concept and choreography for the ballet were designed by Maša Kolar, a prominent Croatian choreographer and the Chairwoman of the Rijeka HNK theater. She found inspiration in lace manufacture, the ornaments, the history, the lives of lace-makers, and folklore music. The music for the show was composed by Tena Novak Vincek.
