Around the World on Wednesdays
Around the World on Wednesdays, Fortress of Culture's popular movie programme, celebrated its 5th anniversary in 2020. During July and August, it brought the best of domestic and world independent cinematography to the summer movie theatre at Barone Fortress.
The programme was created in collaboration with festivals that are among the most important promoters of independent and artistic films in Croatia: Zagreb Film Festival, Motovun Film Festival, Subversive Film Festival, Liburnia Film Festival i KinoKino Film Festivala, Festival mediteranskog filma Split and Dokukino.
Some of the projections were accompanied by the guest appearance of film directors, selectors, actors and critics who present the selected titles to the audience.
All movies had English subtitles and the entrance was free with a valid daily ticket for Barone Fortress. Due to current epidemiological situation the capacity of summer movie theatre was limited.
