Jelena Radan & Pedro Abreu - Fado

Croatian singer Jelena Radan and guitarist Pedro Abreu performed Portuguese fado – songs about longing and unfulfilled desires – saudade, as they say in Portugal. The stories of Amalia Rodrigues and the Portuguese people brought powerful emotions to the intimate fortress setting. 

The repertoire consisted of selected songs from the play Femme Fadal, that these two musicians performed together in the theatres, and songs by Amalia Rodrigues, "Queen of Fado", the biggest promoter of this style of music around the world.
