Most visitors prefer July or August for their vacation in the Dalmatia region, so if you decide to visit in September, you’ll avoid crowded streets and beaches, as well as the long lines to visit the most popular sites!
The Perfect Time to Visit All the Fortresses
Šibenik's three land fortresses—St. Michael’s, Barone, and St. John’s—are all situated on elevated ground, offering unique views of the city, sea, and nearby islands. When visiting these fortresses at the end of summer, you won’t have to worry about being too exhausted to explore once you get there. Another bonus is that you won’t have to wait in long lines to get inside.
PRO tip: Buy a combined ticket for all three fortresses.
